What is Information Architecture?

The Information Architecture Institute defines it as:

“…as the art and science of organizing and labeling websites, intranets, online communities and software to support usability.”

Explain IA is a competition organised by The Information Architecture Institute  in which everyone is invited to explain inforation architecture.
