Requirements Engineering – Lecture 1

What is a Social-Technical System?

It is a system which involves human, organisational, hardware and software components that interact and depend upon each other in complex ways.

Why it is important in Requirements Engineering?

Requirements need to be specified on all components of a system: technical and non-technical, including the users who will behave in a certain way. These behaviours need to be specified.
